Wordless Wednesday ~ Picture Puzzler Debut: CANNED (Choose well and win!)

What's in this can? I have no idea.
The label has been gone so long, I've long forgotten what's inside.
This little can has been a mysterious silvery tease for over two years and I decided for Pensieve's Picture Puzzler's inaugural post--in keeping with the Mystery Box photo that was the impetus for this monthly contest--I'd photograph it as an excuse to finally open it and see what's inside.
Surprising to me is I LIKED these photographs--it never occurred to me that something so benign could be aesthetically pleasing to the eye
(at least to me, anyway).
The first correct guess wins a $25 Visa Check Card to be used to buy a few groceries for yourself. The most imaginative guess wins, too...but I'll have to think on that one.
Answer and winners will be posted on Friday. Be sure to follow the Puzzler link for details. You don't wanna be disqualified ;).
Even if your first guess has been taken, remember points are given for creativity. And "points" equals some sort of whiz-bang prize in my book...make me smile. Better yet, make me laugh...;).
Wanna win one of 13 cookbooks? Click here--it's a SUPER fun thing to do :)!
OOooo! And Terza Rima...how could I forget that while I'm linking all over the place? PLEASE join me and a few of my favorite peeps!
Check out the new Wordless Wednesday HQ.

A number of exotic choices come to mind:
Turtle soup
Fried eels
Octupus
Re-refried beans
Pickled tortillas
Peanut butter and Ritz cracker consomme
I clearly need a hobby!
Hope you're having a lovely WW so far, my friend. I've posted a special game-themed photo today. Coincidentally, it's also shiny-metallic.

My son does that to my cans. I used to find them before the label was totaly destroyed and write on the can in permanant marker. LOL!

My gosh some people are fast. My first thoughts were pears or refried beans and those are already taken. Hmmm. Lemme think. Let's go with:
1. Peaches
2. Chili
3. Quail Eggs (my creative guess)
Please check out my WW post.

Oh, I was going to guess corn. Can I still? I'll guess again just in case. Hmmmm....I'll say canned tomatoes. Or maybe it's worms. (Like "I didn't mean to open up a can of worms.")
And, I agree that photos of mundane things can turn out just beautiful.

Not guessing, but I love the texture of the "naked" can.

creamed corn. because who eats that? you wouldn't have cared that the label went missing and you thought to yourself, let it go, I'll never eat it.

I'm thinking green beans - of the Jolly Green Giant variety. :D

Hmm, in the first shot it looks ever so slightly bulgy. Not a good sign if that's true.
Anyway, I'll guess sweet potatoes/yams.

I'm guessing...beets. Not that I like beets...in fact, I don't. But still, it just looks like a beets can to me. ;)
This is a fun idea, seriously!
I remember in 5th grade, our teacher was getting married and she had a "can" shower during school with us, her students...we had to bring a can with the label off to give her!
So this brought back memories! :)

I'm guessing tineed pineapple.
I love the corrugated look of the tin.

What's in the can
I do not know
But as for me
In the trash it would go
Just thinking bout it
Hurts my cranium
Who knows what's there
It could be uranium
Just follow our rules
You know, "Recyle"
Someday that can
Might be a unicycle
P.S. I'll try to get your nifty little side bar items up soon. (Nekked Lizard Lady is in that department.)

I am guessing it is a can of cranberry sauce both because it has those little rings and also because somehow I always have a can or two left after the holidays and by about July the labels are falling off.

Hmmm...I think I'd open it outside when the time comes...just in case! Have a great day!
