Who knew traffic lights could inspire??

15_words_or_less_poems_button Laura's challenge for "15 Words or Less Poems" today is an everyday sight for most Americans.  Why don't you try your hand at these short works?  It takes just a few minutes when you know words are limited...and in my case, three ideas popped in my head in an instant :).

Traffic_light
Some think it's merely suggestion
Which greatly disrupts my digestion
And causes mass-traffic congestion!

Red says "Stop!"  Green says "Go!"
Yellow shouts a loud "OH NOOOOO!!

Signs of time, signs of life
Yielding order, causing strife
Quietly, give direction
Keeping safe each intersection.

I especially love that the first one has 5 words per line - for some reason it just seemed right.

Boy! You're good at this! I'll see what I can come up with. I liked the 5 words per line thing, too - I'm in to symmetry.

Wow! You're good--and fast!

I posted one, too.

your mind continually amazes me.

Great poems!

I love these! I'd say I'll participate too, but with the day I know I have ahead of me today, I'll just enjoy yours.

That is so good~ love it :)

Geez Robin, those were all really good!!!!

Do you ever run out of words?

They were great I especially loved the last one.

That is clever! Love the Oh NO yield!

DLYN, I noticed that, too, but didn't intend it. It's kinda nice someone else saw that :).

Susan, with a 15-word limit, it's pretty easy.

Wow, Sandy & Chris & Alix & Lisa...thanks, y'all! :)

Karina...hope that means your day was "good" busy....

Willowtree, is that sarcasm or sincerity?

Min, what do you think?
