This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Pepperidge Farm.
Why are
miniature versions of just about anything more adorable than their
original-sized counterpart? Or am I the only one who has "fizzy affections for all things 'mini'"?
I don't
think I am the only one; retailers have latched onto the concept and I'd
wager it's serving them well. Think about all the individually-wrapped
mini versions of cookies and snacks you see on grocery store shelves these
days. They're packaged for convenience and portion control, but dag GUM
if they aren't just cuter! I buy them for my kids' lunches, but it's not
uncommon for me to slip a package in my purse or laptop bag to deter me from
swerving into a fast food stop for
greasy-but-yummy-but-heart-attack-inducing-and-butt-enlarging french fries.
Hmmm, little
snack packages are keeping me healthy! Who would've thunk it?
Pepperidge
Farm® has just introduced a line of cookies, once again proving dynamite
comes in small packages.
They sent canisters of all their new mini varieties
to me just in time for my "Sister Party". I'm still wondering how in THE world the people at Pepperidge
Farm knew I was sick and needed some easy help with
dessert! What could be more simple than opening the canister,
plopping some Petite Pirouette® and Petite Twists® in some pretty glasses,
and Voila! Dessert is served!
My
favorite? The Chocolate Crème Petite Pirouette, mainly because I've
been eating their larger counterpart for years. I can remember last
week when I was much younger trying to suck the filling out and make the
crispy outside into a cookie straw...hmmm, cookie straws...maybe I should pitch
THAT to Pepperidge Farm :).
A 90-calorie
indulgence...90 wee little calories (compared to, say, my caramel macchiato
breve weighing in at 490 calories...or a bowl of chocolate fudge brownie ice
cream weighing in at DON'T JUDGE ME!). If I made it a habit to snack on
these, I **might** just fit into a two piece again at my favorite
indulgence--lying oceanside come mid-July.
Want more
details that spell out the skinny on Pepperidge Farm Petite Pirouette and Petite Twists?
Petite
Pirouette
is a delicate, crispy rolled wafer with creamy, chocolaty filling on the
inside. Try either the chocolate hazelnut or chocolate crème flavor - or
both! Three Petite Pirouette rolled wafers add up to 90 carefree
calories!
Petite Twists puffed pastries have
layers of delicate, crisp pastry swirled with sweet cinnamon or raspberry. A
delightful treat with 90 calories in two treats.
Aren't you
glad to indulge yourself with something so sweet with virtually no guilt attached?

Wow a day to myself, now when was the last time I did that????
Even for mother's day I had to help out with the cooking because of some trouble. To get away for a spa day would be heaven. :-)

I have no idea. What is a day alone? I'd probably sleep in and clean up the house and take a nap and sew.
I think.

I would take a nap. Then I'd read, go thrifting, stop at Starbucks, go to the antique store then the spa with the gift certificate I won;).
Thanks for entering me!

A day all to myself?? Oh, the humanity!! First, I'd sleep in and then I would nom only bad for me things that taste yummy. I'd spend the rest of my day in my jammies catching up on my feed reader or even -gasp- just whatever caught my short attention span at that (fictional) moment... :D

If I had a day to myself, I would read some poetry and write in a spiral notebook.

A day all to myself... I'd sleep as late as I possibly could...get up and take my time, sipping coffee, reading some in a book, get a shower and go shopping for a few hours. I'd come home and change into some comfy clothes. Then I'd get even more comfortable stretched out on the couch under a few blankets, read or watch tv until I fell asleep. A nap does a body good! As far as supper..I'd hope someone else would take care of that for me :)
Those mini cookies, etc are soo cute!

I'd sew all day and quilt and paint some teapots, just one day? I NEED two!! ;)

I would have a very full agenda, but then I'd probably end up just laying around eating & watching tv. If I could plan in ideal day, I'd meet a friend for coffee, do some shopping, have lunch, then spend the afternoon reading or watching movies. And maybe throw in a pedicure somewhere in there. Or a massage.

Does wanting to blog all day count - and drinking lattes and eating cookies while blogging....?
Because I don't know anything better to do alone. Maybe read books? Or better - read blogs.

If I had a day all to myself, I would spend it outside, hiking, walking the dog or gardening.

I think every mom fantasizes about this question, and what we would do. There is definitely no shortage of ideas! I can see myself relaxing out in the sun, perhaps taking a nap and just enjoying the peace and quiet (and no laundry, and reading. I think right now though, with everything that's going on, I would just enjoy sitting.

A day to myself when I don't have to work? It depends on the time of year. If the weather is nice, I'll drive our 1967 convertible Camaro around town doing a little shopping. If it's winter, I'm by the fire reading. In the summer I'm at the movies. In the spring? Spa day, baby. Of course, that all implies that I've had that many days to myself and I'm not so sure that's true. Maybe I should take a day off and see what *really* happens.

I'd like to take a spa day and get a whole bunch of treatments: Waxing, mani, pedi, massage, maybe even a mini-makeover.
I love Pirouettes!

I'd sleep in the whole morning and get a hot bath, a cup of tea and a good read for the rest of the day!

Wow, an entire day? I would start with a leisurely morning with coffee and the newspaper. Sometime in that day I would get my nails done, have a pedicure, and spend the day with my niece and her daughters having a girls day. I haven't had chance to do that in the last two years because I have lived overseas, but am returning to the states in December and will be closer to them. That would be a wonderfully fulfilling day.
